Since my first encounters with the gnostic experience, my view towards my art practice has entirely changed. Previously, my practice was guided by art history; now it’s guided by revelation.

I’m an interdisciplinary artist illustrating the wisdom of Christian Kabbalah. For centuries, this tradition was passed from mouth to ear in a secret society. Recently, its nondual path of enlightenment has been recorded and is now available to all. As an artist and faith leader transformed by its teachings, I am among the first in my generation to share its wisdom visually.

Sacred artworks or icons are windows that connect the viewer to the transcendent. My most recent series of icons, “Black Mirrors,” does this by inviting the viewer to contemplate their reflection in black plexiglass set in a cunic form, sculpted from found wood. Icons such as sculptures or paintings, provide a visual gateway to contemplate the invisible.

My creative process evolves and responds to my contemplative life shared in a close community of spiritual practitioners. I apply my training in painting and drawing to wood sculpture, stained glass, mixed media, digital graphics, film, and performance. My artworks celebrate the personification and immanence of the divine. The more literal an image is, the deeper its mystery.
